Understanding your pain and your treatment is part of getting better.
Clear, honest guides: what each procedure involves, what to expect, and how to live well with chronic pain.
Your health forms, online
When your visit is booked we send you a personal link to complete your health forms on your phone or computer before you come. Your answers are encrypted on your device and go only to the clinic.
Have the code from our message ready and, if the message asks for it, your medical record number (MRN) from your SSMC card. Prefer paper? The same forms are available at the clinic.
Before your visit
- Bring a list of your medications and doses, especially blood thinners (aspirin, clopidogrel, warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban and similar).
- Bring any allergy information.
- Bring imaging reports or discs: X-ray, MRI, or CT.
- Bring your insurance or payment information.
- Allow about an hour for a first consultation.
Procedure guides
Each procedure has its own plain-language information sheet covering what it is for, how it is done, risks, and recovery. Sheets for epidural steroid injection, medial branch block, sacroiliac joint injection, and genicular procedures are given to you at consultation and before consent.
Khmer-language versions are in preparation.
After your procedure
- Rest the day of the procedure; most patients return to light activity the next day.
- Local soreness for one to three days is normal.
- Keep a simple pain diary for the first week; it tells us whether a diagnostic block worked.
- Call the clinic for fever, new weakness or numbness, severe headache, or anything that worries you.
Living with chronic pain
Chronic pain is a condition in its own right, not just a symptom. Treatment works best when a precise procedure is combined with movement, sleep, and a realistic plan. We treat the whole person, and we set honest expectations: most treatments offer meaningful relief in properly selected patients, not a cure.
Questions before you book?
Common questions about referrals, pain, sedation, safety, and recovery are answered on the FAQ page. Anything else, send a message and the clinic will reply within one business day.
For referring physicians
Referrals are welcome from orthopaedics, neurology, rheumatology, oncology, rehabilitation, and primary care. A referral pathway and referral form are available on request from enquiry@singsmc.com. Every referred patient returns to you with a consultation note.
